2018 CARIB soca MONARCH
SEMI – FINALISTS selected
After an intense in house judging session, fifteen (15) competitors were selected from a total of
eighteen (18) entries as semi – finalist for the 2018 edition of the Carib Soca Monarch.
The competition which returns after a two (2) years hiatus will be controlled by the subject
ministry for the 1st time in over a decade and will have Ansa Mcal Trading Limited; the company
that once ran the competition, continuing their support as the title sponsor with their Carib Beer brand.
The semi – final which is scheduled for the 10th February, 2018 in the mining town of Linden will
see five (5) contestants being eliminated with the remaining ten (10) battling for the title in
Georgetown on the 17th February. Of the fifteen (15) selected, eleven (11) are newcomers
to the competition.
